Program Coordinator

Responsible for organizing Category I panel discussions

Mentorship Program Director

Responsible for developing, organizing and promoting our Mentorship Program.

  • Who is the ideal candidate? Someone who has the knack for expanding their professional network and making (and sustaining) strong professional relationships between executives.

 

At-large Member for Gettysburg / Adams County

Responsible for keeping their finger on the pulse of issues and events in the Gettysburg / Adams County and provide feedback to the chapter leadership.

  • Who is the ideal candidate? Someone who enjoys connecting with other healthcare leaders and works in Adams County

At-large Member for State College / Centre County

Responsible for keeping their finger on the pulse of issues and events in the State College / Centre County and provide feedback to the chapter leadership.

  • Who is the ideal candidate? Someone who enjoys connecting with other healthcare leaders and works in Centre County.

Membership Committee

Work in collaboration with the chapter leadership to development strategies for the recruitment and retentions of members.

  • Who is the ideal candidate? Someone who is outgoing, able to speak to the benefits of HEF and ACHE membership, has a good ability to listen to the needs of the membership and bring ideas for additional benefits to the chapter leadership.

 

Senior Chapter Leadership Opportunities:

 

Development Committee Chairperson

2 year term to coordinate all fundraising efforts for the ACHE of Central PA chapter, to include identification and securing of potential sponsors and tout benefits of program sponsoring.

  • Who is the ideal candidate? Someone with exceptional fundraising, organizational and administrative skills and exceptional general and time management abilities. This is also an excellent opportunity for someone with little or no senior board experience to learn the governance structure and prepare to take on larger roles in chapter leadership.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Dear Members of ACHE of Central Pennsylvania,

As the Chairman of the Nominating Committee, it is my pleasure to deliver this message to all of the members of ACHE of Central Pennsylvania. A diverse pool of candidates are needed for consideration. I encourage you to apply. When you apply, you add to better the pool of candidates. This will ultimately create more opportunity for members.

This “Call for Nominations” is for several ACHE of Central PA Board of Directors positions. This call is for many committee member positions. Please see below for chair positions that will become vacant on 1 January 2021. You are invited to run again through open ballot.

In accordance with the ACHE of Central PA Chapter Bylaws, the Nominating Committee is required to recommend individuals to serve on the Board of Directors. Prior to submitting a final slate of candidates to the chapter membership for a vote, the Nominating Committee must issue a call for nominations. All affiliates of ACHE of Central PA, in good standing, are eligible for election. Affiliates may nominate themselves or others for the Board of Directors.

 

PROCEDURE FOR NOMINATION 

Nominations can be made by completing the Call for Nominations form below and submitting it to the Nominating Committee at contact.achecentralpa@gmail.com. Nominations are requested from now until (11/30) at midnight. The individual being nominated must also provide the Nominating Committee a brief (1 to 2 paragraph) biography by this deadline as well. Please ensure that all of requested information is completed on this form.

The Nominating Committee will review the nominations and prepare a ballot to be distributed to the chapter membership via email by December 1st. The open Board of Directors positions will be announced from a majority vote of the active chapter members. The winners will be distributed via email by December 21st.

EVALUATION CRITERIA TO BE USED BY THE NOMINATION COMMITTEE 

The following is a list of preferred attributes that the Nominating Committee will take into account in its deliberations. These will be used in selecting candidates for the final ballot that will be presented to the membership for election.

•      Membership Status: Candidates must be members in good standing with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). “Good standing” means the nominee is current on his/her annual membership dues and has not violated any of the ACHE ethical standards.

•      Education: Preference is given to candidates who hold an advanced degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or other disciplines with a healthcare emphasis.

•      Fellow Certification: Preference is given to candidates who are Fellows of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), but this is not a prerequisite.

•      Service/Availability: Board members must be able to attend at least three (3) of the four (4) Board meetings that are customarily scheduled each year. Board meetings are typically held every two (2) to three (3) months with conference calls held during the remaining months.

Eligibility:

Officers: Must be members of the Chapter who have completed at least one term as a Chairperson

Chairpersons: Must be members of ACHE for at least a year and actively involved in Chapter activities, though they may work or reside in an adjoining Chapter’s territory.

Committee members: Must be members of ACHE in good standing.
